Towards 2022, NIKKB research will focus on developing customised treatment for the individual patient, research into how we can implement new knowledge in daily practice and understand the lifelong trajectory of musculoskeletal disease.



The Research Unit at NIKKB has formulated a strategy outlining the institute's research priorities for the period 2018-2022.

Alice Kongsted, Senior Researcher at NIKKB and Associate Professor at the Department for Sports Science and Clinical Biomechanics, has been appointed Professor with special obligations (wso) of Musculoskeletal Research in Primary Care at the Research Unit of Clinical Biomechanics at the University of Southern Denmark from November 1st 2018.


Alice Kongsted will strengthen the University of Southern Denmark's practice-based research in musculoskeletal health focusing on back pain and strengthen the recruitment and development of new research talents.


Alice Kongsted's appointment is officially marked with a joint appointment seminar for her and Professor at IOB, Bart Koes, on November 14th at 15:00 in Auditorium o100, University of Southern Denmark, Campusvej 55, 5230 Odense M.
